Before a First Conversation

Quick answers to the things owners ask before they call.

Aaron Graves is a business attorney in Lincoln, Nebraska. He opened Graves Legal LLC in July 2026 after practicing as a government attorney at the Nebraska Attorney General’s office, and he runs the firm as a solo practice.

Business law for companies, nonprofits, and regulated organizations: forming entities, drafting and negotiating contracts, ongoing outside general counsel work, buying and selling businesses, data privacy compliance, and compliance counsel and regulatory response for businesses and public organizations.

Every engagement starts with an engagement letter that sets out the scope of the work and how it is billed: a flat fee for a defined project, a fixed monthly fee for ongoing counsel, or hourly, whichever fits the work. Nothing is billed before that is agreed.

You tell me about your business and what you need, and I explain how I may be able to help. If I’m the right fit, I’ll say so, and if I’m not, I’ll tell you that too. Please keep the details general until I’ve checked for conflicts of interest.
